COVID-19

Following our temporary closure due to COVID-19 we are pleased to announce that the Lancashire Eye Clinic is now fully open and we are able to offer prompt appointments with no waiting lists.

Should you wish an appointment please do not hesitate to contact the clinic and we will be happy to arrange this for you.

Here at the Lancashire Eye Clinic we have implemented new policies and pathways to protect both patients and clinic staff and we have been guided by:

  • – NHS England
  • – Royal College of Ophthalmologists
  • – Public Health England
  • – Care Quality Commission
  • – Royal College of Nursing

Due to the small size of our clinic and the fact that we do not practice high-volume clinics and surgery, we are able to limit, and control, the number and movement of patients at any one time on the premises. This enables a good practice of social distancing and therefore, reduces greatly the risk of COVID-19 transmission.

You can be reassured that we will use the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) throughout the clinic for the protection of patients and staff. You will only be allowed access into the clinic following satisfactory completion of our telephone triage questionnaire which will take place a few days prior to your appointment.

On the day of your appointment, admission will be allowed following a temperature check and confirmation of well-being. However, please note that accompanying persons will not be permitted entrance – unless by prior arrangement only

Of course, we must not forget that our care and treatment will continue at the highest standard and the service we provide to all our patients will remain exemplary.

Practice Manager
